I was hiking in the San Francisco Peaks looking for a landscape view of the turning leaves. When I looked up, I changed my mind as I was struck by the drama of the Aspens towering over my head. The sun briefly forming a halo in exactly the right spot combined with the dark pines created the contrast that makes this scene so compelling.
