Most photographs I see of this area are broad landscapes in vibrant color. Although the colors are beautiful I was drawn to the texture and subtle tones in this area full of ridges. It seemed a natural black and white. Otherwise fairly abstract, I included the prominent tree in my composition for a hint of realism and scale. The sepia toning also seemed natural for the presentation to provide just an inkling of color but still leaving the final interpretation up to the viewer.
