I was met by a solid week of rain while shooting in Provence. I took advantage of the subtleties one sees with such diffuse lighting to shoot this perspective overlooking the town and view of the river. I was taken by the timeless look of the scene and decided on black and white. Without the cars the view could be the same as Van Gogh saw it when he lived here. I used sepia tones to augment the old world feel.
