On a shoot in the San Francisco Peaks I discovered an expansive stand of Aspens. The sheer number and density of trees were compelling. I came back to this area a number of times to study the light. When the angle of the sun is optimal, the dappled sunlight accentuates the abundant Aspen trunks with their knots that seem to peer at you like eyes.
