A Beautiful Hilltop Medieval Village

Yesterday, we visited a village in Chianti within the Province of Florence.  This particular town was part of the territory of Florence.  Up until now, we have spent most of our time in the Province of Siena.  For many centuries, Florence and Siena were mortal enemies, until Florence and the Medici family took over Siena and its territories by force in the 16th century.  Here are some images from this little known village…
